ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities:
- System Design: Design instrumentation and control systems based on project requirements, process specifications and process standards.
- Control Systems Design: Design control loops, logic sequences, control narratives, and cause & effect matrices to regulate and optimize industrial processes.
- Programming and Configuration: Configure control systems, PLC’s, DCS’s using ladder logic, function block diagrams and sequential functional charts.
- Testing and Commissioning: Loop check and functionally test control systems at client sites to ensure that they function correctly and commission them for operations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that control systems comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Create documentation such as specifications, wiring drawings, loop drawings, and control narratives.
- Project Management: May be involved in project management activities such as planning and coordination of resources for instrumentation and control system projects. Coordinate with internal and external partners, including cross-discipline, construction, vendors, fabricator(s), and owners to address electrical/I&C-related design concepts, issues, or concerns.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
- At least 5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering and design, performing engineering related duties.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens PCS7, and DeltaV is preferred.

ABOUT THE JOB
Summary:
- Executes equipment engineering deliverables according to established engineering design criteria, utilizing engineering procedures, practices, and standards.
- Performs calculations, specifies equipment, and resolves complex engineering problems while also reviewing and verifying calculations performed by others.
- Responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of rotating and static equipment for industrial applications.
- Manages and leads complex technical discussions with third parties (customers, licensors, suppliers, and regulators) to facilitate informed technical decisions.
- Understands multi-disciplinary technical issues and can provide innovative technical solutions to resolve these issues.
- Provides support in resolving shop and/or field problems related to mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develops specifications and executes engineering activities for rotating and static equipment, such as reciprocating piston, centrifugal, diaphragm and screw compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, pumps, shell & tube exchangers, air-cooled exchangers, separators, columns, and fired heaters.
- Performs total cost of ownership evaluations, considering capital costs, reliability, maintenance, and operating costs.
- Reviews supplier-submitted documentation and drawings.
- Serves as the single point of contact with vendors for engineering activities.
- Conducts supplier shop performance testing and pre-shipment inspections.
- Participates in the field commissioning and start-up of equipment.
- Troubleshot shop and/or field problems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and minimum 5 years’ experience in equipment engineering.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment, centrifugal/reciprocating/diaphragm/screw compressors, blowers, pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and cooling towers in Industrial Gases, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical Industry.
- Familiarity with Industry standards such as ASME, API, PIP, CGA, ANSI, ASTM, and OSHA.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work in a time-conscious and effective manner.
- Possess Professional Engineer license (PE) or willingness to complete.
- A proactive and positive “can-do” attitude.

ABOUT THE JOB
Summary:
- Executes process engineering deliverables according to established engineering design criteria utilizing engineering procedures, practices, and standards.
- Prepares, coordinates, and reviews designs, studies, reports, and proposals.
- Responsible for the delivery of project/proposal deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, equipment sizing, selection, and specification, relief device and flare system sizing and specification, etc.) within the agreed job hour budgets and schedules.
- Maintains the technical quality of all process deliverables issued on the project.
- Manages and leads complex technical discussions with third parties (customers, licensors, suppliers, and regulators) to facilitate appropriate technical decisions.
- Identifies issues (problems, value improvement opportunities) and helps clarify areas of complexity during all phases of the engineering design work.
- Understands multi-disciplinary technical issues and can provide innovative technical solutions to resolve these issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or check overall plant and unit simulations using standard process simulation programs (Aspen Plus, HYSIS, PRO II, UniSim, and/or ProMax), including development of H&MBs.
- Develop and check Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
- Develop and check calculations of equipment sizes, including vessels, columns, heat exchanger requirements, and packaged equipment specifications.
- Facilitate and/or attend reviews such as PFD/P&ID reviews, HAZOPs, and 3D model reviews representing the process engineering discipline, and being able to explain process design questions to clients and other disciplines.
- Develop relief load narratives, relief load calculations, load summaries, and relief valve datasheets.
- Develop utility design, including consumptions and the overall utility summary.
- Development of alarm and trip setpoints.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited college or university and minimum 10 years’ experience in the design of chemical process plants.
- Experience in relief calculation methodologies and industry codes and standards applicable to pressure relief design.
- Experience in commissioning, startup, or operation of two or more chemical process plants.
- Knowledgeable in the process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, automatic valves, and packaged equipment.
- Experience with process configuration and optimization studies to increase product yield, reduce utility consumption (steam, power, cooling water) and reduce/mitigate flare loads.
- Demonstrated experience in process simulation and automation.
- Demonstrated experience in all deliverables, tasks and activities listed in the position summary and responsibilities section.
- Professional Engineer license (PE) or willingness to complete.
